BTAR Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What type of antenna should I use to improve the Bluetooth reception/ range?
A. Any standard antenna with a din connector will work. We suggest consulting the antenna company as they will explain the properties of their antennas. You may want to optimize the location of your device first away from other wireless devices, metal, glass with reflective tape etc. as they affect wireless propagation.
Q. Can I connect the line out of GDI-BTAR122 into the Aux in of another GDI-BTAR122 and control the volume of both with one remote?
A. Line out connections by definition are constant i.e. no volume / gain control.
Q. Does the remote control need to be in the line of site or will it receive off a reflective surface such as a wall?
A. The remote control is a standard IR (infra-red) remote control which requires line of sight. However, if you are streaming music from your cell phone or tablet you can control the volume / music directly from your device. Additionally after 15 minutes of no music our receiver goes into standby.
